Almost a month late, a thin version of the winter blanket has come to the landscape. Shifting landscapes meet changing climates that days later gave me the opportunity to be outside in a strange December balm.
Saint Paul Almanac is celebrating its newest publishing initiative, Impressions. Impressions provides yet another outlet for Saint Paul to tell its story in its own authentic voice where writers’ work will be posted on broadsides in the trains and buses of our city.
Quotes from Saint Paulites
“Because of our social circumstances, male and female are really two cultures and their life experiences are utterly different.”
—Kate Millett, Saint Paul native and writer
“Little by little we can help the environment. We can change the world. Step by step. Burdock by burdock.”
—Teenage intern, Saint Paul Conservation Corps
“The machinery of government has been commandeered by a little clique whose blind obedience to Wall Street is responsible for the stupid, selfish and short-sighted policy that is retarding our prosperity and creating profound distrust and discontent among our people.”
