There is no rest for the wonderful. The fall has been busy and maybe you think you need a break, but when you realize that Saint Paul is not sleepy enough, you might be willing to miss some rest yourself. The ball of culture keeps rolling this week with a ton of happenings in Saint Paul.
Quotes from Saint Paulites
“I don’t tell the popular narratives, the commercial narratives, that one is supposed to tell as an African American writer, and there is a price to be paid for that.”
—David Haynes, former Saint Paul writer and teacher
“Ideas are powerful things, requiring not a studious contemplation but an action, even if it is only an inner action... They demand to be stood for.”
—Midge Decter, journalist
“The machinery of government has been commandeered by a little clique whose blind obedience to Wall Street is responsible for the stupid, selfish and short-sighted policy that is retarding our prosperity and creating profound distrust and discontent among our people.”
